VARIABLE FREQUENCY DRIVES ECT SERIES

 

Variable frequency drives ECT series are intended for rotate speed regulation and protection of three-phase asynchronous motors (AM) with squirrel-cage and wound rotor for general industries and its special modifications.

            Areas of use:

·      thermal energy;

·      oil, gas extraction and transportation;

·      ferrous and color metallurgy;

·      chemical industry;

·      coal mining industry;

·      machinery;

·      wood industry;

·      agro-industrial complex;

·      housing and utilities.

Variable frequency drive appliance is effective in following mechanisms:

pumps, ventilators, compressors, transformers, transporters, dispensers, extruders, stirrer mixers, winders, centrifuges, roller conveyors, boiler fans and fume pumps, crushers, sucker rod pump drives etc.

Variable frequency drives use:

·      improves the mechanisms performance at the expense of speed and moment regulation, in closed-loop regulation automatic systems also;

·      provides significant energy and resource savings;

·      rises the effectiveness of asynchronous motors application at the expense of frequency regulation optimal law;

·      increases asynchronous motor life-time at the expense of soft regulation, start currents and mechanical impact loads limitation;

·      allows to automate technological appliances and complexes operation at the expense of integrated program regulators and communication with upper level devices along standard exchange data protocols.

Operation modes and asynchronous motors protection types supported by ECT drive:

·      local or remote rotate speed assignment;

·      soft start/stop with time regulated;

·      different soft braking methods (free running-out, frequency, dynamic, DC injection to stator, recuperative);

·      reverse;

·      an acceleration with heightened start moment;

·      inching (trial launch, adjustment);

·      short circuit between asynchronous motor phases protection;

·      asynchronous motor phases short circuit to the “earth” protection;

·      asynchronous motor phases break-down protection;

·      overheat protection.

Frequency drive ECT series classification according to types and execution standards:

1.      By drive completeness:

·  complete fulfillment – inverter, input reactors and output filters, braking block, commutation and protection apparatuses that are mounted in a single cabinet;

·  modular fulfillment – frequency converter module with required additional set of equipment in the form of options such as filter blocks, braking modules, breakers, fuses and others can be delivered according to customers requirements;

 

2.      By asynchronous motor capacity:

·  low power 0,4 ¸ 5,5 kW (output current to 12,5 A);

·  medium power 7,5 ¸ 30 kW (output current 16¸63 A);

·  high power 37 ¸ 400 kW (output current 80¸800 A).

 

3.      By asynchronous motor braking method:

·  dynamic – braking energy dissipates on braking resistors;

·  recuperative – braking with energy recuperation to mains.

 

4.      By operation type and overload ability:

·  volt-frequency U/f (scalar) for loads with variable moment on the roller and 110¸150% overloads during 120 sec.;

·  vector for loads with constant moment and up to 200% overload.

ECT – series name;

X1 – development ordinary number: 4, 5;

X2 – supply network characteristic:

            O – single-phase 220V, 50Hz,

            T – three-phase 380V, 50Hz;

V – operation type:

            symbol presence – vector with up to 200% overload,

            symbol absence – scalar with 110¸150% overload;

X3 – motor capacity, kW:

0,4; 0,75; 1,5; 2,2 – single-phase supplying,

0,75; 1,5; 2,2; 3,7; 5,5 – three-phase supplying;

X4 – maximum output frequency, Hz:

            50 (standard frequency), 60, 200, 400;

K – for cranes;

Y1…Y8 – optional configuration cipher that is filled according to the Table 3 (for standard delivery option the cipher doesn’t fill in).

X4 – rated output current, A:

The optional configuration is recommended by factory’s marketing department after preceding the information from the questionnaire that is filled by the customer. The questionnaire form and optional device technical features also (filters, braking blocks, remote control panels) are given on the PJSC “ZPEA” site and in sending information by request.
