Zaporozhye plant of electrical apparatuses was founded in year 1951 as an enterprise specialized in converter aggregates development and manufacturing and it was a part of the USSR Ministry of the Electrical industry.

Plant specialization – development and delivery to the industrial objects of USSR and abroad mercury first, then thyristor power aggregates for electric drives of coal-mining, metallurgical, chemical, textile industry, for city electric transport, agro processing industry and other branches.

Zaporozhye plant of electrical apparatuses delivered converter aggregates to Novo-Lipetskiy, Magnitogorskiy metallurgical Plants, for metallurgical Plants in Bhilan and Bocaro (India), “Zaporozhstal”, “Krivorozhstal” and other metallurgical Plants.

Plant specializations also are development and delivery of electrical equipment for city trolleybuses to regional centers of USSR, Greece, Argentina, electrical equipment for undergrounds in Moscow, Sankt-Petersburg, Kiev, Tashkent, Tbilisi, Budapest (Hungary), Prague (Czech) and other countries.

Boring rig drives, crane and walking excavator drives for hard climate conditions (from -50°C to +50°C) operates on numerous mining-processing and metallurgical Plants and Mines in Krasnoyarsk (Russia), Ust-Kamenogorsk and Temir-Tau (Kazakhstan), Krivoy Rog (Ukraine) etc.

Frequency converters of different types and variable frequency drives on its base occupy the most value in plant products production. Frequency drives ECT series are built on the base of last achievements of power electronic: IGBT-modules made in Germany and Japan, and microprocessor controllers, contemporary protection and commutation apparatuses that cover power scale form 0,375 kW to 800 kW. DC drives TEP series cover power scale from 1,1 kW to 2500 kW, they are built on the base of 5^th generation power apparatuses and microprocessor equipment of the latest generation. These electric drives operate successfully on enterprises “Krivorozhstal”, “Dneprovskiy metallurgical plant”, numerous Mining and Processing Plants, on Cube, in Iran and other countries.  

Except electrical aggregates for industrial enterprises the Plant produces successfully sophisticated household equipment: 4-hotplates electrical stoves of 8 standard performances, electric cast iron hotplates of 4 standard performances, sensor lamps and other apparatuses.
